All settled in for the semester

I haven’t been keeping up with this blog like I wanted to, but anyway, I’ve been back at college for a month now and it’s been a whirlwind of moving out of my dorm and into an apartment, waking up for 8:30 classes, and trying to put up with the low morale at my campus newspaper job. I’m putting on a smile and toughing it out because I’m hoping to get chosen to go to a journalism convention in NYC over spring break, so I want to stay in everyone’s good books. It’s just sad because I love that job, but not everyone in that office feels that way so it’s getting tense and not as much fun as it used to be.

As always, c’est la vie.

When my roommate tells me she’s going home for the weekend

How I felt when my former roommate said she was leaving for the weekend, which meant Friday and Saturday night…on Saturday afternoon she texted me…I was hanging out in my dorm, which I finally got to myself for once, with my best friend who said, “She’s coming back!” Then she saw the look of horror on my face as I read the text and was like, “I was just joking!” We spent the rest of the evening at her apartment.

The good thing is this semester I’m living in an on-campus apartment with someone much, much better.
